Leave a Legacy

What legacy would you like to leave?

Legacy Investment Fund

When you make a donation or endowment to our investment fund, you can have confidence that your donation will grow and continually give back, long into the future.

Each year our trust will distribute the interest on your donation, in your name, into our community programmes, making a significant, meaningful difference in the lives of Christchurch young people and their families.  Meanwhile the principle amount you donated remains invested, ensuring it can continue to grow and do good each year, every year, for years to come.

That means your legacy lives on.

One-off donations

If you’d like your donation to support a specific project - or create a new one - we can make that happen.

That could be a school-based Opportunity Hub activity in your name, helping Christchurch children in low-resource schools access opportunities they might never otherwise see.

It could be establishment of a scholarship fund in your name, helping people access a specific type of support or opportunity, with criteria you set.

Whatever cause is close to your heart, we can support you to support your community.

Who are we?

Established.

Te Whare Awhero (Hope House) has been established as a registered charity in Hornby, Christchurch, for more than 35 years.

Our trust board is headed by Steven Duxfield of Corcoran French.

Connected.

Our team works within the community in a huge number of ways, programmes and projects.

Those include not-for-profit counselling and community support, school-based Opportunity Hubs and mental health services, and our Longitudinal Whānau Support project, working to help kids break free of generational cycles like poverty or violence.

Bringing Hope.

Our goal is to bring hope to those in need – it’s our underlying mission and drive at Te Whare Awhero.

That means our services can adapt and change to meet the needs of our community - but our underlying mission has always been and will continue to be simple: To bring hope.

What Legacy will you leave?

We would love to meet with you

Whatever your vision for your legacy, we would love to meet with you to discuss it further.

You are welcome to visit our offices, to meet with our director or trustees, or to visit our programmes in the community to see us in action.

If you are considering rewriting your will to include a bequest or endowment to support our programmes in the community, we can support you in this through contributing toward the cost of changing your will.
