When we go through challenging times, understanding and compassion from a listening ear are often what we seek in order to heal. So for over 30 years, we have been providing affordable Counselling services to our local community in Hornby and the southwest of Christchurch.
Our team of professionally registered and qualified counsellors strives to create a safe and nurturing space for individuals, children, families and couples to explore and work through any difficulties and concerns they may have. Through our Employee Assistance Programmes, we also journey with working individuals when employers partner with Te Whare Awhero to provide their employees access to counselling support.
Keeping counselling fees low and affordable is very important to us so that anyone in need can have access to mental health and wellbeing support. Our sliding payment scale enables us to run counselling sessions at subsidised rates while contributions to our Counselling Support Fund offer financial relief to people who may not be able to afford the full cost of this service.
